STUDENTS WHO PARK AT RILEY DURING THE SCHOOL DAY ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A PARKING PASS AND MUST PARK IN THE STUDENT PARKING LOT ACROSS FROM THE FOOTBALL FIELD. PARKING PASSES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE TREASURER’S OFFICE.  THE COST IS $10 FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR.  STUDENTS WHO RECEIVED A PARKING VIOLATION NOTICE AND OWE A FINE MUST PAY THEIR FINE IN THE TREASURER’S OFFICE.

  • Seniors.....Please check your email.  Mrs. Knappenberger sent an email asking to see who was interested in participating in the Senior Trip. Please fill out the Google Form, so we have an estimate of those wanting to attend so that planning can begin.

     

  • Congratulations to the five Riley musicians who participated in the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble District Festival last weekend at Northwood HS.  Our students brought home 3 Gold and 2 Silver ratings!                                           Amy Blatt, Senior, Tuba

    Amy Blatt and Dom Vitale-Richards qualified for the State contest and will be performing their solos again on February 24th!

  • The National Honor Society is selling carnations and lollipops for Valentine's Day delivery. They will be sold during all lunch periods until February 13th. See an NHS member at lunch or stop by room 433.   

·        Senior t-shirts are now available to order between now and February 9th. If you are interested in ordering a shirt, look for an email from Mr. Schulte to access the online storefront or go to room 423 for more details.

·         The Midwinter dance is a semi-formal event that will be held on Sunday, February 18th at the Riverside Terrace in Mishawaka from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. Tickets are sold in the treasurer's office for $15 cash or $16 card. Tickets will be sold until 3 p.m. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15 and sell fast, so spread the word to all your friends!  Permission slips for non-Riley guests may be picked up in the treasurer’s office.

•     9th grade students who received an email about GEAR UP Club, please be sure to register. Club will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays during all lunches in Room 434 with GEAR UP Coach Alex. The GEAR UP Club at Riley is designed for 9th graders and helps to prepare students for success in both college and their future careers. This club covers various topics from academic skills and college/ career exploration and field trip/community service opportunities, financial literacy, and social-emotional learning. To participate in the GEAR UP Club, students simply need to complete the Google Form sent to their email. Students MUST have a pass in order to leave the lunch room. Please email Coach Alex or have your teacher email Ms. Groves ([email protected]) if you do not receive it before your lunch!

  • February is Career & Technical Education Awareness Month.  Focus today:  Design Technology (Architecture) - Do you love to design, pay attention to detail, and build?  Then a career in architecture could be the pathway for you.  Junior Hanna Pastrana Gutierrez and Senior Xochitl Gonzalez participates. Any Sophomore or Junior can apply for next school year. Apply at southbend.enrolltrack.com
